The Unseen Enemy

Spring 1942.

Bomber Command suffers substantial losses. But some bombers are getting through and taking the fight to the enemy. The Germans are on the cusp of developing a secret weapon, however, that aims to revive their hopes of victory in the West.

Grieving from a personal loss, Royal Air Force pilot Peter Denhay is appointed to command a newly formed Special Duties bomber squadron. Its mission: to play a vital role in the destruction of the weapon.

Before it can be deployed, he must forge his unit into an effective force. He is aided in his mission by his friend and fellow officer, Charlie Kendrick - who has his own problem to deal with in the form of Oleg Kushkin, an enigmatic Soviet spy.

Facing incompetence, in-fighting and Service politics on arrival at his new station, Denhay has his work cut out for him. His task is further obstructed by the threat of an elite enemy night fighter pilot, known by his men as ‘The Ghost of Schwerin”. The Ghost hunts down unsuspecting crews, who seemingly disappear without trace.

To restore his Squadron’s confidence, Denhay must first destroy The Ghost.

A complex deception leads to a desperate battle in which everything is risked, and a suicidal mission to the heart of the Nazi war machine.
